We usually Blade 10-12 miles in the summer and 12-20 miles in the cooler months. We meet at
8:00am and roll out at
8:30. Brunch Afterwards

July-11-10 @ 8:30AM Lake Seminole;
We meet at the entrance to the 2 mile oval trail at the back of the
park opposite of the ball park. A beautiful and shady 2 mile
smoothly paved oval trail. Those that only want to do 4-6 miles in
the shade can stay and do the oval trail. Those that want to do
10-15 miles can continue on and do the Osceola High School route and
get an extra good workout. Directions to Lake Seminole: The entrance
to Lake Seminole Park is located off Park Blvd. and about 100th St.
Between Seminole Blvd and Starky Rd. Plenty of parking and restrooms
July-18-10 @ 8:30AM Upper Tampa Bay Trail;
We will meet at the trail head on Waters Ave just West of Sheldon
Road. Two ways to go to the Upper Tampa Bay Trail.
49th St. way:
Take 49th St to McMullenBooth Road north to 580. Turn east. This
turns into Tampa Road which turns into Hillsborough Blvd. Take this
to Country Way (there is a Walgreens on the corner) turn north into
the Country Way subdivision. Take this north to the first stop sign,
which is Waters, turn right or east. Go about 1 mile and the
entrance to the trail is on the left (north) just across from the
YMCA.
I 275 way:
I-275 towards airport, stay left heading for "cargo" area, PASS #60
Clearwater and take next gradual left onto Independence (Exit 2B).
Follow Independence -it melds into Memorial which becomes Sheldon as
it crosses Hillsborough. Stay on Sheldon and at Waters make a left.
1st right is into the park at the Trail.
Jul-25-10 @ 8:30AM Boca Ciega Millennium
Park: Shelter #4, At the water tower on 113th Street N.
and 74 Ave. N. turn west onto 74th Ave and head toward Seminole City
Park. Go left at the "Y" by Seminole City Park and go until you get
to Oakhurst Rd. Note your mileage. Turn right onto Oakhurst road
follow Oakhurst around to the left and go about 1/2 mile. Boca Ciega
Millennium Park is on the left just before you get to the stop sign
at 125th Street. Shelter #4 is about 0.6 miles inside from the
entrance of the park. Follow the delightfully smooth new road past
the sign to shelters #1 & 2. Keep going to the sign pointing to
SHELTERS #3 & 4 on the left. Follow this one way road to SHELTER #4.
Aug-1-10 @ 8:30AM Walsingham Park Shelter
#4; We will meet at Shelter #4. Safe access to the trail
is via the sidewalks along 102nd Ave. Walsingham Park provides both
roads and trails to blade. A round trip through the Park is about 3
miles. Across the street from the entrance to Walsingham Park on
Walsingham Road is the entrance to a Museum of Art, a Cultural Park
and a Botanical Garden. All are open all day on Sunday. Directions:
Walsingham Park is accessible from both Walsingham Road and 102nd
Ave N. Walsingham Park is located West of 119th St off Walsingham
Road and West of 125 St. off 102nd Ave N. Walsingham Road runs East
and West and intersects Alt 19 and Seminole Blvd. Brian Dairy Road
turns into 102nd Ave N. is intersected by all roads running North
and South as far East as 66th Street.
Aug-8-10 @ 8:30AM Ft Desoto East Beach;
Take Interstate 275 to south St. Petersburg and the Pinellas Bayway
exit. Pass through toll booth ($0.50). Continue on over two bridges
and take the Tierra Verde (Hwy 694) road heading south. Continue
past Tierra Verde through the next toll both ($0.35) to the "T" in
the road. Go Left (East) to East Beach. This is where We Will Meet.
Aug-15-10 @ 8:30AM Tarpon Springs, Old
Train Station; Meet in the parking lot on the West side
of the Pinellas Trail, one block South on the Trail from Tarpon Ave.
The Pinellas Trail goes down the middle of Safford Ave in Tarpon
Springs.
Aug-22-10 @ 8:30AM Taylor Park;
Meet in the North parking lot off 8th Ave SW in Largo. Access 8th
Ave SW by using 113th St or Indian Rocks Rd. 8th Ave. SW is North of
Ulmerton Rd and just South of West Bay Dr. We will Skate the
Pinellas Trail.
Aug-29-10 @ 8:30AM John Chesnut Sr. Park;
Meet in the John Chesnut Sr. County Park just south of Sandy Point
Rd on East Lake Rd in the parking lot between shelters #2 & #3
(MAP). East Lake Rd is an extension of 49th St. in St. Pete which
turns into McMullen Booth Rd in Clearwater and turns into East Lake
Rd above Tampa Rd.
